Blood + Flowers Syrah

100% Syrah from Steelhead Run and Long Walk Vineyards in Applegate Valley, this is an ethereal and moody Syrah very much in the style of some of our northern Rhone favorites. The robe is a transluscent deep crimson purple, with classic Syrah smoky dark fruit that leaps from the glass. There are subtle floral aromatics and a litheness that contrast this from typical west-coast Syrah, with great acidity and freshness. It's medium bodied on the palate with a long, lingering finish and can be best enjoyed at cellar temp with gamey or smoked meats, hard cheeses, or even grilled vegetables.
