Cedric Malbec

Pascal Verhaeghe is one of the most respected winemakers in Cahors — the original homeland of Malbec (known locally as Côt), located along the River Lot in Southwest France. His 30-hectare estate, Château de Cèdre, has been certified organic since the 1990s when the next generation took over and eliminated all herbicides and chemicals. 'Cedric' is the entry-level cuvee from vines on the stony third terrace, producing a lighter, more mineral-driven expression of Malbec than the deep clay lower terraces.
