About This Wine
The
full story.RAM Cellars is a low-intervention winery based in the Columbia Valley producing wines that are as much about place as about grape. The 2023 Chardonnay is sourced from two sites: sustainably managed 20-year-old vines at South Hill Vineyard on Underwood Mountain in the Columbia River Gorge sub-AVA — a cooler, high-elevation site that provides structure and acidity — and organically managed Canyon's Gate Vineyard in Washington's Columbia Valley for richer, rounder fruit character. Fermented and aged sur lie in stainless steel for the best of both worlds: the freshness of stainless with the creamy depth of lees contact. 90 cases produced. The whole wine world is now watching this small producer.
