About This Wine
The
full story.Judith Beck farms 15 hectares of certified biodynamic vineyards in Gols on the eastern shore of Lake Neusiedl in Burgenland. After studying in Bordeaux and Chile, she returned to take over the family estate in 2004 and immediately moved toward organic then biodynamic practices. A member of the Pannobile collective, Judith is one of Austria's most revered natural winemakers. The Weissburgunder (Pinot Blanc) is her flagship white — in recent vintages given a touch of skin contact that adds gentle texture and complexity. Spontaneously fermented with native yeasts in old acacia barrels, aged 6 months on the lees. Unfined, unfiltered, minimal SO2. 12% ABV. One of the great value whites in the natural wine world.
