About This Wine
The
full story.Mary Taylor has spent years traveling the back roads of Europe hunting for producers who make wine the old way, and this Prosecco from the hills of Brescia is one of her best finds. The producer — a small family operation just east of Lake Garda — grows Glera on glacially-deposited moraine soils that lend the wine a distinctly mineral character you won’t find in mass-market Prosecco. It’s fermented in tank using the traditional Charmat method, then bottled at Brut levels for a clean, dry finish. Green apple, white pear, and a delicate floral note carry through the palate, and the fine, persistent perlage makes every sip feel considered. An everyday sparkling wine that punches well above its price.
