full story.Founded in 1996 by Jerry Sass in the South Salem Hills of Oregon's Willamette Valley, Sass Winery produces small amounts of handcrafted wine from two estate vineyards — Wild Winds and Walnut Ridge — first planted in 1989. Jerry's philosophy centers on natural, non-invasive winemaking from sustainably dry-farmed vines. This Pinot Gris comes from the Wild Winds estate vineyard — Sass's first single-vineyard Pinot Gris release since 1998. Cold-fermented in stainless steel with native yeast, then bottled unfined and unfiltered.
