Nebbiolo Langhe Galli

Cinzia and Fausto Cellario are 3rd generation winemakers, though the first in the family to make strictly natural wines. Poderi Cellario is in the village of Carru on the western edge of the Langhe. They work with only indigenous Piemontese grape varieties and fiercely defend local winemaking traditions in the vineyard and the cellar. The Cellario vineyards cover about 30 hectares across five different vineyard sites throughout the southern Langhe. Vineyard work is organic, fruit is hand-harvested, and all fermentations take place with indigenous yeasts. Sulfur is only added in very small quantities at bottling if necessary, which is fairly uncommon with a winery of this size.

Aromas of cranberry, rose hip, raspberry. On the palate, still red fruits but also earthy, peppery, with dry herbs. A very drinkable and elegant style of Nebbiolo with soft tannins.
