Buffo Lambrusco Emilia Rosé

Marco Giovannini and Antonella Fontana have been farming certified organic in the plains of Castelfranco Emilia since the early 1980s, making wines they originally just wanted to share with friends. Buffo is their pétillant naturel rosé: direct-press Lambrusco, bottled before fermentation finishes in the ancestral method with native yeasts, unfined and unfiltered, at just 20 ppm sulfur. Pale salmon in the glass with fine persistent bubbles. The nose bursts with fresh raspberry, wild strawberry, and mint; the palate is crisp, dry, and thoroughly refreshing. This is the bottle you open when everyone's still standing in the kitchen.
