About This Wine
The
full story.itä wines is the project of Kelsey Albro Itämeri, a woman-owned and operated winery in Walla Walla's Airport District. Named a 2023 Winery to Watch by Wine & Spirits Magazine and a Wine Enthusiast Future 40 Tastemaker in 2024, Kelsey is one of Washington's most exciting emerging voices. Her philosophy is European in spirit: early harvest dates for lower alcohol and higher acidity, restrained use of oak, minimal fining and filtration, and a relentless focus on letting place speak. The 2025 Rosé is made from Primitivo (a.k.a. Zinfandel's Italian ancestor) grown at Les Collines Vineyard in the eastern foothills of the Walla Walla Valley at 1,100–1,400 feet elevation — LIVE certified sustainable and Salmon Safe. After 4–5 hours of skin contact, the juice is free-run pressed and fermented in stainless steel. Cold stabilized and gently processed for clarity before bottling. A Provençal-inspired rosé from Washington's most creative terroir-driven producer.
