Fattoria San Lorenzo makes some of the most compelling Verdicchio in all of Italy. While they do not participate in the DOC/G system, their whites are one-hundred-precent Verdicchio from their gorgeous, Biodynamic vineyards. Their entry-level white is a pure and crystalline expression of the grape that gives you a perfect snapshot of how great this grape can manifest. Classic Roman pasta dishes like cacio e pepe work wonderfully with this wine and it is absolutely stellar with a seafood risotto or cioppino.
